Quilt exhibition and fabric sale\ Hampden update\ Quilter to carry Queen's baton........

QUILT EXHIBITION AND FABRIC SALE

Clarencefield Quilt Show starts on Thursday 15 May from 2 - 9pm.  Friday 2 - 9 again.
Saturday, Sunday and Monday 10 - 4.   Come along and see some wonderful quilts made by pupils and friends of Clarencefield Quilt Group.   Entry is free.   Tea, coffee and home bakes are on sale for £2 per head.  Eat as much as you like.    There are also fabrics on sale from £5 a metre.  Backings for double bed quilts from £20.
This is Weisdale Kirk in Shetland.   Not on show at the exhibition as it was handed over to Shetland last month.  Just thought you might like to see it.

HAMPDEN PARK QUILT CHALLENGE FOR ALZHEIMERS

We are now well past the £30,000 mark from the sale of quilts which covered Hampden Park in June last year.    Some of the quilts will be on sale at Clarencefield (just outside Dumfries in Southwest Scotland) this weekend at the quilt show.

QUILTING TO BE REPRESENTED AT THE COMMONWEALTH GAMES

I am deeply honoured to have been nominated and chosen to carry the Queen's Baton in the Dumfries heat.   I am told it is Thursday 19 June but I have no further information.   However, I believe I have to wear a track suit.   Now that's a first........
